Оценка, по которой актив или обязательство отражается в бухгалтерском учете и отчетности. В зависимости от объекта учета в основе его оценки может находиться концепция исторической стоимости или справедливой стоимости. В первом случае, как правило, объект оценивается по затратам на его приобретение за вычетом накопленной амортизации и обесценения, во втором - в оценке, близкой к финансовому результату от его реализации (по рыночной стоимости и т.п.).

 Оценка, по которой актив или обязательство отражается в бухгалтерском учете и отчетности. В зависимости от объекта учета (и принятой системы учета), в основе оценки может находиться концепция исторической стоимости или справедливой стоимости. В первом случае, как правило, объект оценивается по затратам на его приобретение за вычетом накопленной амортизации и обесценения (в ряде отраслей – исчерпания ресурсов), то есть за вычетом суммы износа актива, списанной в процессе амортизации. Если стоимость актива подвергалась индексации (переоценке), то Б.с.а. представляет собой его стоимость после индексации (переоценки) за вычетом суммы износа, начисленной после проведения индексации (переоценки). Такая Б.с.а. редко совпадает с его рыночной стоимостью (за исключением момента приобретения актива). Во втором случае принимается оценка, близкая к финансовому результату от вероятной реализации актива (напр., по рыночной стоимости, по справедливой стоимости т.п.). Балансовая стоимость актива не всегда совпадает с налогооблагаемой стоимостью, так как в ней не учитывается налоговая защита.
